Yadadri: Demanding the government to suspend the bus services of the State Road Transport Corporation to the hill shrine, auto drivers took out a massive rally here on Friday.

The auto drivers said earlier there used to be only one bus service run by the Temple Board, however, for the past two months the TSRTC was also running five services to the hill shrine.

As no devotee was approaching for the auto-rickshaws, “We are losing our livelihood,” the agitating drivers said in grief. “We don’t have any option left to bring the issue to the notice of authorities, but to organise a rally,” they lamented.

The leaders said, “We have submitted several representations to the Ministers and the MLAs, the Depot Manager and Temple EO Geetha Reddy on the issue, which went in vain.”

The Union leaders, to mark their protest, submitted memorandums to the statues of Ambedkar and B Jagjivan Ram in this regard.
