​Peddapalli: The in-Charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy called upon the youth to set goals and strive to achieve them rather than becoming victims to drugs.

He took part in an awareness programme on drug prevention organised by Excise and Prohibition department at Amarachanda Kalyana Mandapam here on Friday.

Releasing a poster on the occasion, he said the future of the country lies in the hands of the youth. Expressing unhappiness as the youth becoming drug addicts, he suggested that parents or friends should admit drug addicts in rehabilitation centers. Excise and Prohibition officials should be informed if anyone comes across those selling drugs.

Appreciating the officials for organising the programme, the in-charge Collector suggested that they should conduct such programmes at various schools, colleges and universities.

Earlier, a rally was organised from the Collectorate to the function hall. In-charge DRO Ashok Kumar, Excise and Prohibition Superintendent J Ravi Kumar, officials, students and others were present.
