Kodad: The State government is committed to provide jobs to unemployed youth and establishing coaching centres across the state to help them in getting success in competitive exams, said Minister G Jagadish Reddy.

On Friday, the Minister launched government study circle at SRR Degree College in Kodad for the welfare of the youth. Speaking on the occasion, he said the coaching centre would conduct free classes for 14 competitive exams, which include UPSC, TSPSC, Banking, Railway recruitment and Staff Selection Commission etc.

Stating that coaching centres cater to the needs of the unemployed youth of all sections irrespective of caste and religion, Reddy advised the unemployed to avail the opportunity. Coaching classes would be conducted between 2 pm to 5 pm and along with local degree college lecturers and experts from Hyderabad would take guest lectures, the Minister added.

Stating that 100 youth out of 500 were selected after conducting the screening test for the first batch, the Minister informed that books to the aspirants would be provided by Gunthakandla Savitramma Charitable Trust. He advised the students to became employers instead of employee.

Collector Surendra Mohan, Kodad Municipal Chairperson Anitha, Market Committee Chairman Shashidhar Reddy, former MLA Chander Rao, RDO Biksha Naik and others participated in the programme.
