Protesting against the arrest of former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, who was on indefinite hunger strike, Congress leaders staged a rastaroko here on Tuesday.
Sulthanabad: Protesting against the arrest of former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, who was on indefinite hunger strike, Congress leaders staged a rastaroko here on Tuesday.
The Leaders raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch A Annaiah said the Chief Minister should implement all poll promises made during 2014 general elections.
The leaders criticised the government for allegedly arresting leaders, whoever questioned the government and its activities.
It may be recalled that demanding the government to establish Medical College in the Karimnagar district, Ponnam launched an indefinite hunger strike.
Mandal Congress leaders Muthyam Ramesh, K Gopi, B Anil, Sajid, K Srinivas, Javed, Rahil and B Anil Goud took part in the protest programme.
