SRSP victims assured of good compensation

Mahabubabad: The farmers, who gave away their lands for the construction of Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) canal, would be given satisfactory compensation, assured District Collector Dr Preeti Meena.

She held a meeting with the farmers of Abbaipalem, Bicharajupally, Puroshottama Gudem and Maripeda mandals, who lost their lands, at the Collectorate here on Monday. After all the discussions, the collector took their signature on appropriate documents.

Joint Collector Damodar Reddy, DRO Rambabu, EE&RB Rajendra Naik, SRSP EE Srinivas Rao, RDO Krishnaveni and others attended the meeting.
