Dr Reddy’s hands over aid to meritorious students
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories as part of school improvement programme distributed merit scholarships to 109 students of seven Zilla Parishad high schools of Miryalaguda division in Nalgonda district, at a meeting held at Tripuraram on Tuesday. The company has contributed Rs 10.67 lakh towards this initiative.
Tripuraram: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories as part of school improvement programme distributed merit scholarships to 109 students of seven Zilla Parishad high schools of Miryalaguda division in Nalgonda district, at a meeting held at Tripuraram on Tuesday. The company has contributed Rs 10.67 lakh towards this initiative.
Presenting the scholarships to the selected students, company’s vice-president (Corporate Social Responsibility) Dr V Narayana Reddy said many children studying in schools located in surrounding areas of the company have been coming out with flying colours in SSC exams.
However, majority of them were dropping out from studies due to poor financial status. To continue the studies, the company has started identifying the bright students every year under school improvement programme and providing scholarships to them. School staff, local representatives and students participated in the programme.
