Warangal: Additional Director General of Police in Mumbai, Maharashtra, VV Lakshminarayana (former CBI Joint Director) will inaugurate a library at Sri Vyasa Avasam, a home for underprivileged children.

At a programme on August 13 at 10 am he will inaugurate the library at the Avasam located near CSR Gardens, Hunter Road in Hanamkonda. The library is being set up by Sulakshya Seva Samithi with an intention to spread knowledge among the underprivileged children and empower them.

The main objectives of the samithi will be ensuring education for all and youth empowerment. As part of this endeavour, the samithi has been supporting government schools and orphanages, said the samithi founder-president Santhosh Manduva.

At the programme, Lakshminarayana will also deliver a lecture on the topic ‘Youth arise, awake and reach your goal’, informed the samithi president Santhosh Manduva.

Eminent academician Chukka Ramaiah will speak on ‘Education for all’ and Padma Shri Daripalli Ramaiah will speak on ‘Importance of protecting environment’.

These guests will later inaugurate the library and plant saplings in the premises, he added.

A publicity poster of the event is released on Friday in Hanamkonda by Sri Vyasa Avasam executive committee members Dr Sammi Reddy, Ch Sanjeev, Aluvala Bhikshapathi, Kotte Gopal Rao, Ramini Ramappa and Kasarla Vasundhara.
