Warangal: The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, is scheduled to lay foundation stone for Mega Textile Park at Chintalapalli of Sangem mandal in Warangal rural district on August 16.

At a programme that places at 11 am, the CM along with Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari and local leaders will lay foundation for the Park.

The Textile Park is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to about 1.13 lakh people. In a statement here on Friday, Deputy CM Srihari has thanked the CM for consenting to set up the park in Warangal. He appreciated the farmers, who have given their lands for the park and officials, who made efforts in acquiring the land.

He said it is expected that nearly Rs 11, 586 crores will be invested in the Park being established with an expenditure of Rs 1150 crores on 1,190 acres of land. The Textile Park will have ginning, spinning, weaving, dyeing and garment manufacturing units at one place.

The Deputy CM hoped that after the Park is established here the weavers from the State, who migrated to distant places such as Sholapur, Gujarat, Bhiwandi and others, will come back to Telangana. Efforts will be made to complete the park in a speedy manner, he added.
