Kothagudem: Superintendent of Police Ambar Kishore Jha on Friday handed over a cheque for Rs 1.65 lakh to M Jyothi, wife of home guard Ashirwadam, who died on duty due to sunstroke at the bus depot here on May 5.
The donation was made by all the home guards working in the district from their one-day salary. Speaking on the occasion, Jha appreciated the home guards for their gesture and assured assistance to the Ashirwadam’s family. Jyothi thanked the Home Guards’ Union and Jha for their support.
