Govt schools providing better education than private ones
National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Member and Padma Shri and Magsaysay awardee Prof Shantha Sinha inspected the first-ever government English medium high school set up in the district on Friday.

Addressing the teachers, she asked them to strive for the bright future of the students. The government schools provide education, discipline and above all affection to the students, she stated, praising the efforts of MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao for setting up the school in the district. The MLA informed that Science library and Primary Health Centre would be set up on the school premises soon.
Stating that government schools were providing quality education than private schools, Prof Sinha advised the parents to join their wards in the school.
Sinha further added that that she would send a proposal to the government to setup schools like this across the state. Apart from academics, the students should excel in sports, she felt. Sinha, later, enquired with the students over the facilities available in the school and distributed school uniforms to the students.
