Khammam: Calling communalism and terrorism as twins, chairman of the District Minority Unit of the Congress party Tajuiddin said that the was a need to keep check to both for a better nation building.

Speaking at a meeting held with the representatives of the District Minority Unit at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan in Khammam on Monday, Tajuiddin alleged that the Indian Constitution provided equal rights for all citizens of the country to live in peaceful atmosphere irrespective of their caste and religion.

Stating that Hindus and Muslims were living together like brothers in the country, he said after BJP party came to power in 2014, communalism has increased in the country. With the slogans of Gosamrakshan and Ram Janmabhoomi’, the BJP was encouraging communalism in the country, Tajuiddin criticised.

“Both communalism and terrorism will emerge from the failures of the government. It is the responsibility of every citizen to save democracy along with establishing peaceful atmosphere,” he observed.

Hitting out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he alleged that KCR was deceiving Muslim Minorities by not implementing 12 per cent reservations that he promised before going for 2014 polls.

“Both TRS and BJP are deceiving people with their hollow promises,” he said, adding that people were watching every move of both governments and were ready to teach a fitting lesson.
