Karimnagar: All sections of people must cooperate with police officials, who are striving hard to maintain law and order and must utilise police services at their best, said Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy.

About 150 police personnel led by the top cop conducted cordon and search operations at Padma Nagar under Two Town police station of the Commissionerate limits in the early hours on Monday.

Interacting with the people, the Commissioner said cordon and search operations were being conducted as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents and to nab suspicious persons, who were hiding in the city, for the safety of the people.

Stating that alcohol consumption in public places is prohibited and drink and driving operations are being conducted to prevent road accidents, he suggested the people not to drive vehicles to save their valuable lives.

Blue Colts teams along with Hawk Eye services were deployed to provide immediate services to people. Instead of coming to the police station, the people can download the Hawk Eye app in their smart phones and can lodge their complaints.

Ganesh pandals must be erected without causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and vehicles. Kamalasan Reddy suggested people to enquire full details of the persons before giving their houses on rent.

House owners can approach police to get information of the tenants. Without any charges, the police officials will hand over the details to the house owners, informed the top cop.

The Commissioner observed that cordon and search operations will help in nabbing the vehicle lifters and locate the stolen vehicles. People should not purchase vehicles from unknown persons or those without proper documents.

The Commissioner suggested the people to pass on the information immediately to the police by dialing phone number 100 if they notice any suspicious person in their locality and urged them to cooperate in cordon and search operations conducted by the police personnel for their safety.

The police had seized 29 two wheelers, five autos and two cars, which do not have proper documents.

The Commissioner appreciated Sarpanch Anjali and Sri Ramulu, who came forward for installation of four CCTV cameras in Padma Nagar.

Inspectors Tula Srinivas Rao, Mahesh Goud and Vijay Kumar along with 150 members of police personnel have participated in the cordon and search operation.
