District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy urged the people to be aware of dreadful diseases like Measles and Rubella while inaugurating an awareness rally on MR diseases here on Wednesday.
Peddapalli: District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy urged the people to be aware of dreadful diseases like Measles and Rubella while inaugurating an awareness rally on MR diseases here on Wednesday.
Lions Club International has organised the rally from the Collectorate to Government Boys School. Pamphlets were released on the occasion.
Collector S Prabhakar Reddy said that a campaign is organised from August 17 to September 25 for administering MR Vaccine to children between the age group of nine months to 15 years in the district.
The vaccine is being administered to all school-going children in the country free of cost to prevent the spread of dreadful diseases.
Those children, who were administered the vaccine earlier, must compulsorily take the vaccine, he said.
District Medical and Health Officer Bikshapathi, ANM and anganwadi workers participated in the rally along with others.
