District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar inspected the road laying works along with the officials of R&B, SES and health departments here in the Town in the early hours on Wednesday.
The Collector ordered the officials to complete the construction works of drainages to speed up the road laying works.
After going through the graphs of municipal office, Gandhi Chowk and Pedda Marugu canal inspected the respective areas and directed the officials to take necessary steps for completing the construction works of Pedda Marugu canal. Road laying works could be commenced only after completing the Pedda Marugu canal works.
Expressing ire on the officials as the construction of dividers and modernising works were not going on since two days, he ordered the officials to immediately start the works and complete them at the earliest.
The officials were also told to construct a slab near the Pedda Mori as the pipeline laying works under Mission Bhagiratha were stalled.
The officials of SES department were told not to create any hurdles in road laying works. R&B department Deputy Executive Engineer Surendar Reddy, SES Managing Director Nampally Gattaiah, health department Executive Engineer Bhadraiah and City Commissioner P Ramanuja Reddy were present along with others.
