Jagtial: District Collector Dr A Sharath had suspended a few employees for not discharging their duties properly during his surprise inspection in Sarangapur and Jagtial on Wednesday.

He inspected Zilla Parishad High School in Rangapet, anganwadi centre, construction of double bedroom houses, Primary Health Centre and Kasturba Gandhi Girls High School in Jagtial on the day.

The Collector enquired the teachers at Zilla Parishad High School of Rangapet about the steps taken by them for improving the standards of those students, who are lagging in studies.

The Collector ordered the teachers to take necessary steps by preparing the students perfectly in all subjects for getting good results in SSC examinations. Expressing dissatisfaction over the maintenance of Digi-classes, he directed the teachers to make a perfect schedule for conducting the classes.

Later the Collector inspected anganwadi centre and expressed angry for not maintaining cleanliness and records properly and also for not providing healthy and balanced diet to children and pregnant women.

He ordered the officials concerned to suspend anganwadi teacher D Shyamala immediately. Inspecting the construction works of about 12 double bedroom houses, Sharath ordered the officials to speed up the works by employing more number of labourers to complete them within the prescribed time limit.

Later the Collector inspected Primary Health Centre and observed the attendance register. He ordered the health official to suspend Senior Assistant Purushotham, who was absent to his duties without prior information and to issue show-cause notices to the Lab technician Jalaja and ANM Vijay Lakshmi, who left the hospital after signing in the attendance register without discharging their duties.

Collector Sharath was angry after observing medical kits on the chairs, set up for patients, who visit hospital and ordered the hospital staff to remove them immediately along with maintaining the hospital surroundings clean and neat with planting saplings under Haritha Haram programme.

The Collector also inspected the Kasturba Gandhi Girls High School and interacted with the students and enquired them about the problems they are facing with.

Receiving positive response from the students that they do not have any problems in the school, the Collector suggested them to concentrate more on studies to achieve greater heights in their life and advised them to plant the saplings surrounding the school to make the school look with full of greenery.
