However, the gas cylinders remained in the lorry much to the relief of the commuters. If one cylinder had caught fire, it would have been a major disaster.
However, the commuters faced hard times as the officials concerned turned up at the spot very late. Soon fire brigade was brought to the spot. The fire staff shifted the LPG cylinders from the lorry to another lorry.
According to lorry driver, the accident took place when a speeding volvo bus was trying to overtake the lorry, which was heading towards Kurnool from Timmapur.
