108 staff help woman deliver baby in van

Nakrekal: The staff of 108 ambulance once again proved their mettle by providing proper medical support to a pregnant woman during her delivery in the vehicle while shifting to Nakrekal hospital.

According to 108 staff, Emergency Medical Technician Ramesh after getting a phone call picked up a pregnant woman, Chougoti Shivaparvathi of Vellatur village of Battipole mandal in Guntur district from the bus AP 16 Z 0081 in which she was travelling. In the midway, her pains increased while she was being shifted to Nakrekal government hospital for delivery.

Using their experience, the staff of 108 gave emergency medical support and performed safe normal delivery. Shiva Parvathi was blessed with a baby girl. Later, she was admitted to Suryapet government hospital for treatment.

Shiva Parvathi and her husband thanked the 108 staff for rendering valuable services at a crucial time.
