Officials told to make elaborate arrangements for Ganesh immersion

Karimnagar: District Collector Sarafaraz Ahmed instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the immersion of Ganesh idols on September 3, in Karimnagar.

The Collector along with the Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy chaired a meeting with the officials of various departments to discuss the arrangements to be made for the immersion, at Collectorate conference hall in Karimnagar on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting, the District Collector said that places were already identified for the immersion of Ganesh idols in Manakodur lake, Kothapalli lake, SRSP Canal near Eenadu office, Chintakunta SRSP Canal and in Huzurabad SRSP canal.

He said that one district level officer would be deployed as a special officer for the peaceful conduct of the immersion ceremony at the immersion points. After holding consultations with the SRSP engineers four big cranes would be arranged at each immersion point, informed the Collector.
