Meanwhile, the water level in the Taliperu has been rising every hour. With the inflows into the project declining, four of the crust gates were lowered in the evening. As many as 12,840 cusecs was released with the water level in the project standing at 71.44 metres.

Meanwhile, the water level in Godavari at Bhadrachalam touched 23 feet. The Godavari water even touched the bathing ghats. The water level rose slightly in the last 24 hours, thanks to the heavy rains lashing the upstream areas. While the level on Sunday noon was 21.4 feet, by 6 pm, it had touched 23 feet. The irrigation officials told The Hans India that the water level in the river would increase slightly, stay steady and decline later.
