Choutuppal: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has stated that government was committed to restore the lost glory of Sarvel Gurukul School, which produced eminent intellectuals and scholars.

On Sunday, Kadiyam along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy laid foundation stone for the construction of school complex with an estimated cost of Rs 18.34 crore on the premises of Sarvel Gurukul School of Narayanapuram.

Speaking on the occasion, Kadiyam informed that Sarvel school was a source of inspiration for establishing Kendriya and Navodaya schools across the nation. Government was committed to provide required funds for the school’s development which produced eminent personalities. He informed that the construction of the proposed building would be completed within one year. Later, the Deputy CM interacted with the students and enquired about the facilities and food quality.

Minister Jagadish Reddy stated that the government was conducting inspection in the educational institutions to improve the standards of education. Attendance in the educational institutes has increased with the reforms and tough stands taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Reddy informed.

Meanwhile, the Deputy CM also visited the Girls Residential School of Choutuppal. After inspecting the facilities in hostel and play ground, he assured the students of providing required facilities soon. Yadadri Collector Anita Ramachandran, Suryapet Collector and former student of Sarvel School Surendra Mohan, Munugodu MLA Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, local public representatives and others took part in the programme.
