Plants help sustain human life

Luxettipet: The saplings planted as part of the State government’s prestigious ‘Haritha Haram’ programme will help sustain people’s lives, observed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) John Wesley.

He participated in sapling distribution programme organised by the forest department in CSA Church compound here on Sunday. He appealed to all sections of the people to ensure growth of the saplings, as they also help in protecting the environment.

‘Everyone should not confine themselves to planting saplings only, but also must take the responsibility that they survive,’ the DCP stated.
