Congress leaders and cadre paid tributes to former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary on Sunday.
Nalgonda: Congress leaders and cadre paid tributes to former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary on Sunday.
After garlanding the statues and photographs of Rajiv Gandhi, the Congress leaders distributed the fruits, bread to the patients at the hospitals. They also cut the cakes and organized a blood donation camp. Youth Congress leaders and students donated the blood. Members of women wing, SC, ST, BC and Minorities and student wing NSUI across the Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts celebrated the birth anniversary of the late leader.
In Nalgonda, former Nakrekal MLA Lingaiah and other party public representatives and leaders garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi. Speaking on the occasion, Lingaiah said nation got international recognition under Rajiv Gandhi’s rule. He advised the cadre to propagate the ideologies of Rajiv Gandhi to restore the image of the party.
