KTR, Laxma Reddy launch ICU, Dialysis center at Sircilla

Sircilla: IT Minister KT Rama Rao said the TRS government was refining and strengthening its hospitals across the State with latest equipment and machinery.

Along with Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy, KTR launched ICU, Dialysis and blood bank units in the Rajanna Sircilla district Government Hospital. He laid foundation stone for the construction of Mother and Child Health Care Centre at a cost of Rs 13 crores and Nursing Degree College.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said they have launched an ICU Center with 10 beds and eight ventilators to offer best health services. Announcing launching of a Nursing College at a cost of Rs 36.50 crore, KTR said they have so far distributed 800 KCR Kits in the district.

The people got confidence and are queuing up at government hospitals to get best health services. The new units in the hospital will surely provide dialysis critical care services to 100 persons every day.

The Minister took a dig at the previous governments for not providing ICU, Dialysis centers in the government-run hospitals in Telangana region. He also said the government has set up 40 dialysis centers in the State. KT Rama Rao said they spent Rs 50 crore to set up a blood bank in the hospital.

The Health Minister issued orders to set up a 100-bed hospital for mother and child care services in the district at a cost of Rs 13.50 crore, the IT Minister said.

Later, he distributed cheques among the beneficiaries under Pavala Vaddi scheme. The Health Minister said the ICU centers have been set up in 20 hospitals across the State. He called upon doctors and specialists to reduce the number of surgical operations and offer health services with normal treatment.

The medical fraternity should focus on offering best services on par with the corporate ones as the government hospitals are equipped fully with latest machinery. All the hospitals will get similar machinery to offer unsurpassed health services, Lakshma Reddy said.

State Infrastructure Chairman Krishna Murthy, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, TESCOB Chairman Konduri Ravindar, SES Chairman D Lakshma Reddy, Municipal Chairperson Samala Pavani, Agricultural Market Committee Chairman G Chakrapani, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad and Municipal Commissioner Ramanujam were present along with others.
