Celebrate festivals with communal harmony

Mancherial: District Collector R V Karnan on Wednesday appealed to the people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi and Bakrid peacefully, upholding communal harmony.

Participating in a peace committee meeting along with DCP John Wesley and Ramagundam Commissioner of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal, Karnan advised the festival celebrations committees to cooperate with the police department to take suitable precautions.

He advised the Ganesh pandal organisers to register their names with the police and to give phone numbers of volunteers. The Ganesh idols should be installed at a suitable site, which do not have any controversies, with the prior permission of the
site owner.
