District TRS president T Ravinder Rao has accused the TDP Bhupalpally district president G Satyanarayana Rao of kidnapping a TRS member who got elected as director of a Fishermen Cooperative Society.

Hanamkonda: District TRS president T Ravinder Rao has accused the TDP Bhupalpally district president G Satyanarayana Rao of kidnapping a TRS member who got elected as director of a Fishermen Cooperative Society.

Speaking to the media in Hanamkonda on Thursday, he alleged that a TRS activist Munigala Ramesh has contested the elections held to elect the directors of the Society recently and won. The election for the post of the president of Mulug Ghanapuram Fishermen Cooperative Society was yet to be held.

However, Ravinder Rao said that the TDP leader who has been controlling the Society’s affairs in the district for the past 20 years feared losing the elections to be held for the president’s post. With an objective to postpone the election, he kidnapped Ramesh.

On the other hand, Satyanarayana Rao was making false allegations against Bhupalpally MLA and State Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary stating that he had forced the officials to postpone elections, the TRS leader complained.

Ravinder Rao said that it was not proper to make such baseless allegations against the Speaker who holds a responsible position. The candidates fielded by Satyanarayana Rao in the Society director’s election were defeated in his native village of Buddharam as he failed to take steps for the development of the tanks for the past several years.

Rao said that the TDP leader was creating chaos in the democratic process of the Society’s election. The family members of the Society Director Ramesh have lodged a police complaint on his disappearance. Hence, the TDP leader must produce the Director before his family members, Ravinder Rao demanded.

He found fault with the TDP leader for taking the minor issue of Fishermen Cooperative Society’s elections to the notice of the party leader A Revanth Reddy to get cheap publicity. It was meant to defame the Speaker and the TRS, he complained.

The TDP and its leaders were rejected in Telangana and Revanth Reddy or any other leader could not revive it, he asserted. The TRS leaders Jannu Zakharaiah, A Lalitha Yadav, Raheemunnisa Begum and others were present on the occasion.
