Historical Shivalayam temple neglected

Bhupalpally: Five days after the rock-built compound wall of the 800-year-old Ramappa temple collapsed, a near by historical temple – Shivalayam – neglected for a long period caved in partially. The incident took place late on Wednesday.

With no one to look after the maintenance, the shrine, which is 200 meters away from Ramappa temple, was in a neglected state for a long time. As a result, the temple is surrounded by trees and bushes. It may be noted here that miscreants dug up the premises for treasure trove some time ago.
