The Minister garlanded the statues of Telangana Thalli and B R Ambedkar and later inaugurated KDCC Bank branch and new building of Agriculture Cooperative Society and planted saplings on the premises.

The Mission Bhagiratha works are going on at a quicker pace and will be completed by the end of December by which drinking water will be supplied to every household.

As many as 2,000 vacant posts were filled in agriculture department. For every 5,000 acres land, one agriculture officer is appointed for providing services to the farmers and to give them necessary suggestions like how to get maximum yield from the crops.

Harish Rao said that the government has been striving hard to uplift the weaker sections by introducing various welfare schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, Rs 8,000 for one-acre land to poor farmers along with supplying seeds and fertilisers, six kg of PDS rice, pensions and many more. The people must utilise all the schemes introduced for their betterment, advised the Minister.
