Khammam: The representatives of the Student Federation of India (SFI) and Private Sector Reservation Sadana Sangham (PRSS) demanded that the government to take immediate action against the Royal Agricultural College (RAC), which was running without getting permission from University Grants Commission (UGC).

The representatives of the SFI gave a representation to the District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar on the occasion of Grievance Day, here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, SFI district secretary Thalla Nagaraju alleged that the college was running without UGC’s permission and has collected about Rs 70 crore from students in the name of donations.

He further alleged that by employing four members as lecturers, the management was running the college without following UGC norms and was awarding more marks to students who paid more money violating the rules imposed by the State Higher Education department.

He demanded the government to order an investigation and take stringent action against the responsible persons who were running the college. SFI representatives Chintala Ramesh, PRSS Mandula Upendar and others were present.
