Hanamkonda: The BJP district president Rao Padma has demanded the State government for official celebration of Telangana Liberation Day that falls on September 17.

She said the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, before assuming power, was used to demand official celebration of the event. But after he became the Chief Minister, he had simply forgotten his words.

Rao Padma speaking to presspersons in Hanamkonda on Monday informed that the Telangana BJP state president K Laxman would be taking up ‘Vimochana Yatra’ from September 1 in support of the demand.

The yatra would enter Warangal district on September 2. Grand arrangements were being made to welcome the party leaders taking part in the yatra. A massive rally with nearly 100 cars and 2,000 motor bikes would be taken up throughout the city on the day, she added.

On the day, the party BJYM national secretary B Mahipal Reddy and Pama have welcomed nearly 300 youth who joined the party’s Yuva Morcha under the leadership of Dixit Patel and Harish.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders stated that people across the State were being attracted to PM Narendra Modi corruption free governance and joining the party. Unlike previous government Modi has introduced 103 new welfare schemes in just three years’ time for the benefit of poorer sections.

The youth across the State were under distress as the CM Chandrashekar Rao has failed to deliver the promise of ensuring one lakh jobs to unemployed youth.

The CM must deliver his promise otherwise he would have to face the wrath of the youth, they warned. The party leaders K Purushotham, K Santhosh Reddy, S Jagadishwar and others were present.
