Kavita to sprint in Kerala national athletic meet
The gold medal winner in many athletic meets, Chinta Kavita, will represent the Telangana State at the two-day national athletic meet to be held in Kerala from September 18.
Karimnagar: The gold medal winner in many athletic meets, Chinta Kavita, will represent the Telangana State at the two-day national athletic meet to be held in Kerala from September 18.
Kavita, who cleared her SSC from Paramita Schools in 2017, has been selected to receive training at the Sports Authority of India training institution.
Currently, Dronacharya awardee and athletics coach Nagapuri Ramesh is grooming her. Gold medal recipients Puvvamma and Dutee Chand were also training her at Gachibowli academy in Hyderabad.
After spotting her talent quite early, Dr E Prasada Rao of Paramita schools, founder of Paramita athletic academy, adopted her for imparting training to her.
The Mytri Group of Companies will sponsor her travel, diet and other expenses.
