Luxettipet: The State government aims to encourage the crafts of BCs, who are lagging behind, said Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao.

Addressing a meeting after distributing 21 sheep to 42 beneficiaries belonging to Kuruma and Golla communities at Venkatraopet village in this mandal, he blamed the previous governments for neglecting traditional crafts, leading to denial of development to the people.

The MLA stated that after having realised this, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been extending all benefits to BCs, besides striving to solve the unemployment problem. He called upon the people of all castes to support KCR for implementing the needy schemes for each community, after realising their requirements.

DCMS President K Srinivas Reddy, ZPTC member Chinchu Chinnaiah, AMC Chairman Tirupati, MPP Srinivas, Sarpanch Limbadri, Yadava Sangham district president Sammaiah, Mandal president Merugu Satish Yadav and MPTC member Shahid Ali were present along with others.
