Nalgonda: Unleashing their wrath against the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who was convicted in a double rape case, the activists of Vyavasaya Karmika Sangham associated with the Communist Party of India, planted red flags in the 56-acre land of the rape accused at Veliminedu village of Chityal mandal in Nalgonda district on Wednesday. The activists also burnt the CDs and flexie banners of Ram Rahim Singh on the day.

Speaking on the occasion, Karmika Sangham district president Nari Illaiah along with other CPM leaders demanded the government to build 2BHK houses for the poor in the nine acres of the 56 acres land which was encroached upon by the Dera followers and to distribute the remaining land to landless poor. “If government fails to take the initiation in this regard, CPM party will distribute the Dera lands to poor,” they warned.
