Khammam: The Telangana Village Revenue Officers Welfare Association (TVROWA) has demanded the government to suspend the Contributory Pension System (CPS), which may affect lakhs of employees and their families who depend on them, and continue the Old Pension System (OPS).

In this connection, the representatives of the TVROWA, on Wednesday, took out a massive rally from TVROWA Office to Collectorate through Gattaiah Centre, RDO office and Wyra road and gave a representation to the District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar.

Addressing the rally, Association’s state president Garike Upendar Rao threatened to fight against the governments if they go ahead with the implementation of CPS. “If the governments try to disturb the employees and create hurdles in their way, the employees will revolt against the governments that might eventually affect their rule,” he warned.

He stated that they would further intensify their battle if the government failed to suspend the CPS system and continue the OPS system instead. “We will lay siege to government offices if governments remain nonchalant towards the pension issue,” he said.

Association’s district president Sunnam Rama Rao, general secretary Shail Nagul Meera, TRESA president Karumanchi Srinivasa Rao, T Sunil Reddy, VRAS president Sheelam Venkateshwarlu, representatives of TVROWA Daravath Bhaskar, Makkala Srinivas Rao, Gopoju Rajarathnam, Ch Nageshwar Rao, Biyyam Narasimha Rao, Chimala Nagendra Babu, R Shekar and MD Hussain and others took part in the rally.
