Nalgonda: Demanding the withdrawal of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), the government employees on Friday went on mass leave and staged a dharna before the Collectorate in Nalgonda.

Under the aegis of Telangana State Contributory Pension Scheme Employees Association, Upadaya Sangala Porata Samithi (USPS), Progressive Teachers Union, Mandal Level Employees Welfare Association, Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee, the employees took to the streets displaying placards and rising slogans demanding that the CPS be scrapped.

Members of PRTU joined the dharna at Collectorate after taking a huge bike rally on the streets of the town. The members of TNGO staged a protest at the Collectorate during the lunch break. As a preventive measure, large number of police was deployed at the Collectorate to avoid any untoward incidents during the protest.
