He chaired a meeting with people’s representatives along with the leaders of various political parties on the occasion of Ganesh immersion and Bakrid festivals at Late Umesh Chandra Conference hall here on Friday.
The top cop said it is everyone’s responsibility to live with communal harmony without creating inconvenience to others. The representatives of Ganesh pandals must not allow drunken people to participate in the immersion procession, since drunken people may misbehave with the women during the procession, which may create problems.
Also they must strictly avoid raising slogans, which may affect the religious faiths of people, he advised. The organisers of Ganesh pandals must inspect the small Ganesh idols that would be kept at the pandal.
With the coordination of various government departments, a joint control room had been established at immersion points for conducting the immersion process peacefullkt.
He also said that temporary health camps with ambulance services were established along the road to treat people in emergency along with RTC mechanics to repair the vehicles to avoid traffic jam problems during the time of Ganesh immersion procession.
Addressing the police personnel, who were deployed for security arrangements for Bakrid festival and Ganesh Immersion at the Police Parade Grounds here, Kamalasan Reddy advised them to discharge their duties perfectly to improve the prestige of the police department by being alert round-the-clock.
City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Deputy Mayor Guggilla Ramesh, Assistant Commissioner of Police J Rama Rao, V Tirupathi, Inspectors Mahesh Goud, CH Ramesh, representatives of various political parties Rajendar Reddy, Ramgopal Reddy, Abbass Shami, Mukundar Reddy, Gande Mahesh, Srinivas, Raparthi Prasad, Lanka Ravinder and Hari Shankar were present along with others.
