Jadcherla: The building of the Government Upper Primary School at Kottapalli has been posing danger to the students and teachers with its leaky roofs. While four of the classrooms are completely unfit, the cement on the walls in the remaining classrooms is chipping off and falling on the students every now and then.

Students and teachers are dreading to study and work in such dilapidated classrooms. Even a drizzle is enough for the school to get completely drenched that has a total strength of 98 students. As a result, the teachers are conducting classes in the open air.

Though the problem was taken to the notice of the District Collector recently, he assured the school staff of suitable steps. But, nothing has been done so far to improve the school condition. The students have been appealing to the authorities to construct additional classrooms for their school.
