Hyderabad: “We carry back with us wonderful programmes to gift to our boys and girls in the State of Delhi” said Delhi State Minister for Social Welfare Rajendra Pal Gautam here on Saturday.
The Minister along with a team of officials visited TSWREIS School at Gowlidoddi. The team went around the school campus and interacted with the students and the teachers. “I am so impressed with the way the TSWREIS has been at the forefront in conducting a number of innovative programmes to realise the true potential of students from the most disadvantaged sections of the society, said the Minister. He appreciated TSWREIS Secretary R S Praveen Kumar for motivating the students to aim high in life despite wrenched conditions.
Programmes like E-Plus Clubs, Summer Samurai Camps, Voice for Girls, School Councils, Super Students Lecture Series, Operation Blue Crystal Programme, Teaching Assistants and Mountaineering expeditions are worthy of emulation by all the educational institutions in the country said Krishan Kumar, Secretary to the Social Welfare Minister.
Praveen Kumar explained to the Minister and his team about all the programmes being implemented with the support of the State government. He thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the Minister for Scheduled Caste Development Jagadish Reddy for sanctioning a major portion of the budget to the education for the marginalised section of children.
“We would not have implemented these many programmes, if not for the solid support and vision of the Chief Minister,” he said. While thanking the Chief Minister, Praveen Kumar said, an estimated 8 lakh marginalised children would join residential schools by year 2021 under the KG-PG Mission.
