National Lok Adalat settles 11,662 cases

Hyderabad: In pursuance of the guidelines issued by the National Legal Services Authority, the Telangana State Legal Services Authority organised bimonthly National Lok Adalat on September 9.

Under the guidance and leadership of Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Justice V Ramasubramanian, Executive Chairman, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Justice P V SanjayKumar, Chairman, High Court Committee, B R Madhusudhan Rao, Member Secretary , Telangana State Legal Services Authority had coordinated with all the district legal services authorities in the State and organised the bimonthly National Lok Adalat.

In the National Lok Adalat, as many as 11,662 cases, 6,613 pre-litigation cases and 5,049 pending cases of all categories had been settled in the districts of Telangana State and an amount of Rs 19.31 crore was awarded as compensation.
