Mahbubnagar: Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy and MP Jitender Reddy on Sunday stated that State government was creating Farmer Coordination Committees in all districts to benefit every farmer in the State.

Addressing farmers at a programme in Mahbubnagar district, the Minister said the coordination committees would have members who would play a pivotal role in getting government schemes. He asked the Congress and other political parties to stop creating obstacles in the way of state’s development.

“The government plans to give Rs 8,000 per acre and every farmer will benefit from the scheme. It will help farmers get relief from money lenders and banks. Giving crop investment to farmers is a big and unique scheme in the country,” he said.

Jitender Reddy said though the opposition parties were coming in the way of project works by moving courts with false cases, the TRS government aiming to provide water to farmers was completing them on war-footing by spending huge funds. He further appealed to the farmers not believe in the misinformation spread by the opposition party leaders.

“It is a well-known fact that the Congress had misused the funds and involved in corruption in housing scheme and other projects. The KCR government is providing crop investment, waived off Rs 17,000 crore crop loans and giving free power supply to farm activity. The farmers should support the government for such schemes,” the MP added.
