Warangal: Budding artists from Cherial school showcased their artistic talent, creativity and imagination at the state- level painting competition conducted by the Department of Renewable & Energy Conservation of the state government. M Praveen unleashed his creativity and secured first place, with a cash prize of Rs 20,000. He won the top honours by getting selected for the national-level competition to be held on December 14 at New Delhi.

P Pavan and M Adithya proved their mettle and clinched consolation prizes in the seniors and juniors category respectively, and took home a cash prize of Rs 2500 each.

The students of Cherial school have been making waves in painting competitions recently and securing bagful of prizes for their remarkable paintings on various themes, organised by NTPC, The Hindu Young World and many other organisations. In Rangostav, the young painters clinched third position at the national level and won 10 gold medals. Dr RS Praveen Kumar congratulated the budding artists for their stellar performance, while thanking the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the Minister for Scheduled Caste Development G Jagadish Reddy for their support.
