Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika (TVV) State general secretary Menchu Sandeep demanded the government releasing of founder-president of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti

Karimnagar: Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika (TVV) State general secretary Menchu Sandeep demanded the government releasing of founder-president of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti, Manda Krishna Madiga and others, who were arrested by the police illegally on Sunday.

Speaking at a meeting with TVV representatives here in Satavahana University in Karimnagar on Sunday, Sandeep alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during the Telangana movement declared that he will make a dalith man as the first Chief Minister of Separate Telangana State. But after the formation of Telangana, he deviated from his promise and has been harassing the dalits using his political power. The demand for SC categorisation is a justifiable demand. “If KCR is committed to the development of dalits in the State, he along with other delegates including Opposition party leaders must exert pressure on the Central government to introduce the bill in the parliament,” he pointed out.

After coming to power, the TRS government has been suppressing the leaders of Opposition parties along with the representatives of various peoples’ organisations, who were questioning the government for adopting anti-peoples’ policies, he criticised.

TVV leaders Karike Mahesh, Suri Naik, Danodar, Shankar, Raju, Sunil, Srikanth, Maheshwari and Kalavathi were present along with others.
