Artists Dr Mahantesh and Dinesh from Karnataka showcased their recent works in an art exhibition organised at Nehru Art Gallery, JNAFAU.Dr. Mahantesh is an Assistant Professor (Adhoc) who teaches at the Sculpture & Painting Department of Kannada University, Badami Centre. 

Artists Dr Mahantesh and Dinesh from Karnataka showcased their recent works in an art exhibition organised at Nehru Art Gallery, JNAFAU.Dr. Mahantesh is an Assistant Professor (Adhoc) who teaches at the Sculpture & Painting Department of Kannada University, Badami Centre.

He has notably created many sculptures in sandstone and fiber media. His work speaks of birth, family, human relationships, bonding, and behavior. He has recently participated in National Contemporary Wood Camp, Bangalore 2018 and previously participated in numerous group shows and art camps.

Dr. Mahantesh said, “Modern contemporary sculpture extends its new dimensions to the society beyond the traditional framework. The contributions of our modern contemporary sculptors to this transition is immense. This trend of the twenty-first century has been a period of several experiments.

A lot of innovations in the material medium gives scope for experimenting with the form of expressions to young sculptors,”
“I love to depict the emotions of people through my works.

This is my first solo exhibition and I have done several group shows all over India. I was very happy to exhibit my works in Hyderabad. The people here always support artists,” added Dr. Mahantesh.

Artist Dinesh said, “Badami in Karnataka has great monuments. I wanted to show these monuments of Karnataka at this exhibition. Showcasing Karnataka’s great monuments to Hyderabadis is a thrilling experience for me. I have also done several paintings on the lives of Badami and displayed at many exhibitions which were organised all over the Karnataka State,”
