Backache is inevitable fact of life as all of us experience at any time of a day or stage of life. Simple reasons could be overweight, lack of knowledge about correct posture and exercises, performing simple household activities in a wrong way or over exercise.
Meru chikitsa is one of the ancient ayurvedic treatment therapies that have been developed thousands of years back.
The term has been derived from two words 'meru' means 'spine' and 'chikitsa' means 'treatment'. It deals with the problems associated with spine and its structures and thus helps to maintain good health .
Meru chikitsa helps in the restoration and balancing of the vital energy forces called vata, pitta and kapha in the body that are responsible for maintaining the physiological harmony and proper function of body, mind and soul. Along with this therapy, customised diet plan and spine strengthening exercises are suggested. The therapy lasts from 7 / 14 / 21 days depending on the chronicity of the ailment. This is successfully implemented at our branches of Kapil Ayurveda Chikitsalayam.
