Dr K Narsimulu of Gandhi Hospital says, “During winter months we get a lot of patients with respiratory and skin problems. Due to less blood supply there are also chances of early heart attacks and brain attacks in winter. All this is due to the density of pollution, pollen, dust, moisture and other factors in the environment.” He adds, “Children too need to be protected from exposure to pollution especially in the peak hours.”The number of patients with asthma and other breathing problems are the worst hit and a few persons with respiratory tract infection and cough too have been reported says Dr Narsimulu.
