The event will have a good mix of less intensive track and field games. The last date of registration is February 13. Interested patients can either walk into the nearest NephroPlus centre or visit the website www.nephroplus.com. Speaking about the Olympiad, Vikram Vuppala, founder and CEO, NephroPlus, said, “We are striving to enable dialysis patients to lead an active and normal life through our innovative dialysis treatment modalities and patient support programmes.

We believe that dialysis should only be a small part of patients’ lives and not something that defines their lives entirely. The Dialysis Olympiad is an extension of this vision.” “Most dialysis patients are guided by misconceptions about travel, food and many other aspects. Being on dialysis is not the end of life.

This event will not only provide a platform for us to exhibit our sporting skills but will also bring about a change in the way both we and the public at large view dialysis,” added Hari Kishen, a mimicry artist and one of the patients participating in the Dialysis Olympiad. The event will feature 50 m and 100 m sprint, 250 m Walkthon, long jump, chess, table tennis, badminton, Sudoku, cycling, caroms, etc.
