It is found that when the size of cyst is less than one centimeter, it is not only easily treatable but can be cured fully. Changes in breast size, bleeding from nipples, tangibility of lump, and increase in size with pain is an indication of advanced stage and it may spread to other parts also.
Certain phobias including social taboos prevent women from going for treatment, notwithstanding of having full awareness and precautions. The only panacea for all these is to undergo screening tests and consultation by an experienced doctor with the help of family members. Of late, breast conservation techniques like oncoplastic breast surgery also have come into existence, which enable the retention of the breast. Palliative care only can be given as long as woman lives if noticed late, and it is impossible to save the life. Hence, Mammogram, Ultrasound like tests are necessary as per the advice of the doctor, and if there is any problem, biopsy should be done to the tissue compulsorily.
It is also essential to rule out its spreading to other parts with chest x-ray, CT scan, bone scan like tests. Besides, MRI, MR Spectroscopy like tests are also essential to know the cancer stage, grade, and type. Doctors decide the duration of the Radiation, Chemotherapy, and Tomociphen like Hormone tests after surgery. One should not forget regular checkups as per the advice of the doctor even after treatment.
