Dr Sara emphasised on the role of obesity management through self belief, resilience and inner energy. “Present day techniques by so called chain of health or slimming centres are more about treating patients in lesser time duration.

As we live in an era where time flies by, people always turn up for the modern techno methods which causes more harm than good,” she said. “Modern technology can be used but in a limited range. There are guidelines for technology but these are often violated in our country. The citizen’s trust on technology has resulted in them turning more obese and attracting many lifestyle diseases. This trend is increasing alarmingly,” she said.

Dr Sara appealed to the public to be aware of the consequences and side-effects post technology related treatments. Speaking on the discussion, Imran Suleman Ali suggested a few traditional ways of weight loss. “Heavy technology, costly treatments and harmful chemicals used on body to reduce weight cause more harm to the body rather than benefits.
