South Asian Youth Society (Says), in collaboration with TraumaLink recently kicked off a basic first-aid training for a few selected health volunteers from national settings.
Titling as ‘SAYS-TraumaLink Community First Responder Training Program-2015’, TraumaLink ushered in the victim-saving schooling in a number of two cohorts, splitting them into two twelve-head crews for both of the sessions.
Says founder and president, Towfique A Khan and TraumaLink founder and president, Doctor Jon Moussally, Harvard University alumni graced the event with their kind presence at capital’s Edward M Kennedy (EMK) Center, on June 12, 2015.
Says Community Development Team installed series of training schedules in a bid to popularize health volunteering in perspectives of Bangladesh.
TraumaLink helps traffic crash victims survive their injuries by connecting them to local first responders. When traffic injuries occur, victims and bystanders call TraumaLink’s emergency hotline and operators quickly dispatch help on an occasion of transforming families and communities by saving their endangered lives.
Towfique A Khan iterated, ‘situation in the country grows towards higher vulnerabilities day-by-day. We oftentimes strive to tackle unwanted circumstances and so let alone the epic-scaled disasters. Even if there any Nepal-like crisis reveal upon Bangladesh, just think of our fragile national capacity to cope up the urgency and associated/collateral damage. Therefore, the necessity of citizens’ training on public resilience demands no descriptions’.
