Dental surgery made 84-year-old lady’s life hell; gets a new life and freedom from neuralgia with radiofrequency neurosurgery at Nanavati.

Mumbai: An 84-year-old lady from Rajasthan was relieved of months of excruciating pain after a neurosurgerysurgery at Nanavati super speciality hospital.

LatifaBai had undergone a dental surgery and extracted her tooth five months ago in Rajasthan’s Baran district. Following the surgery, she suffered from a neurological condition called trigeminal neuralgia – severe pain that occurs due to a damaged nerve – because of which she was unable to speak, brush, eat and was on IV fluids. She could not eat for many days due to shock-like pain and developed severe anaemia as well. Due to the poor diet her haemoglobin level came down and she was unable to walk or move. When she was taken to doctors in Kota (Rajasthan), they asked her relatives to prayer for her healing.

She is now fully enjoying her stay in Mumbai with her grandchildren and plans to return to Rajasthan in the near future
