Second round of PPI drive launched
Collector Pravin Kumar launched the second round of National Pulse Polio Immunisation programme here at the Community Health Centre, Chinna Waltair, on Sunday by administering polio drops to a kid.

Later, he told reporters that a total of 4,46,747 children in the age group of 0 to 5 years were identified in the district for administering polio drops in the second round as the first round was organised successfully on January 29.
The district medical and health administration has made elaborate arrangements for the programme covering urban, rural, agency and even hill top areas. He disclosed that special medical teams would visit house to house on April 3 and 4 to administer drops to those kids who missed polio drops on Sunday.
Pravin Kumar appealed to all parents to utilise the opportunity as it was their social responsibility. Mobile medical parties were also deployed at the railway stations, RTC bus stations and the airport to ensure hundred per cent administration of drops, he added.
